Wednesday’s Weather in the Bush

December 18, 2013

There was thick fog Wednesday morning in much of the Serengeti with periodic sunlight peeking through an overcast sky. By noon the clouds had thickened causing brief rains throughout the Serengeti, typical weather during this time of the short rainy season. The Crater also saw rainfall, though this area saw rain for much of the afternoon and into the evening.

The migrating herds are in the central Serengeti making their way to Kusini and Southern Serengeti where they will drop more than 400,000 calves in a six-week period.
